Weezer closed the North American leg of its “The Gathering” tour at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on October 24, 2026, delivering a narrative-driven set of 26 songs that wrapped up the final opening performances for Silversun Pickups and The Shins, the Daily Bruin reported.
Crypto.com Arena Finale Brings Tour to a Close
The four-piece alternative rock band completed its latest tour run with a staging that simulated a young fan’s backyard gathering. The concert featured the band members assembling on a set complete with a life-size house, a backyard fence, and stage decorations including a pair of sneakers hanging from a power line above the stage. Lead singer and songwriter Rivers Cuomo played a teal electric guitar decorated with stickers while performing tracks spanning the band’s catalog.
Acoustic Interludes and Intergalactic Portals
During the performance, the band responded to a staged power outage by executing an acoustic segment. Later in the night, bassist Nikki Monninger returned to the stage through an intergalactic portal to sing duets with Cuomo, including “We Might As Well Be Strangers,” “Go Away,” and “I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams.” The concert also showcased audience members dressed in gold on the arena screens while Cuomo instructed the crowd to get gold items in the air before launching into “C.E.O.”

Final Opening Performances for Silversun Pickups and The Shins
The Los Angeles date marked the conclusion of opening duties for both supporting acts. Brian Aubert of the Silversun Pickups praised the production crew during the evening’s run. This tour is insane. This show is insane. Every single person that puts this show together is incredible,
Aubert said, adding praise for the backstage team. The Shins performed a 12-track set that included “New Slang,” “Australia,” and “So Now What” from the 2018 album The Worm’s Heart, closing their performance with a cover of R.E.M.’s “It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine).”
Catalog Deep Cuts and Classic Encores
While the tour promoted the band’s self-titled “Gold Album” and featured tracks like “Shine Again,” Weezer relied heavily on fan favorites from its wider discography. The band concluded the arena show with top songs from its self-titled “Blue” and “Green” albums, performing “Say It Ain’t So,” “Buddy Holly,” and “Island in the Sun.”
