WordCamp San José 2025, the most vital meeting of the WordPress community in Costa Rica, celebrated its ninth edition this Saturday at the Latin university of san Pedro.

The event brought together hundreds of professionals and enthusiasts of the digital world in a day dedicated to learning, collaboration, and strengthening the national technology community.

The inauguration was marked by a festive and authentically Costa Rican atmosphere. Conventional masquerades and organizers dressed in chonete and red shirts welcomed attendees, reflecting the national pride that characterizes this community.

“We are very happy with this ninth edition. We have managed to ensure that the effort and enthusiasm of the organization are reflected in the surroundings; we hope that everyone learns a lot,” commented Lidia Arroyo, Sponsors and Budget coordinator for WordPress Costa Rica.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed more than 50 simultaneous talks and workshops taught by national and international experts on artificial intelligence, design, e-commerce, web advancement, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

Among the exhibitors were professionals with established brands and communities who shared their experience on innovation, employability, and digital development.

One of them was Dunnia Vargas, a LinkedIn Top Voice, who gave the talk “Strategic use of LinkedIn” in the Entrepreneurship Room.

“Only the 2% of people on LinkedIn share content, so we’re going to talk about how to build a stellar profile on this platform; “It is a great opportunity for those seeking professional visibility,” said Vargas.

Evan Tobiesen, an international speaker from Norway and WordPress developer in the Spanish-speaking market, also participated. On his first visit to a WordCamp, he covered the new AI integrations in WordPress.

“It is indeed incredible to see how all the people here work to make the event go in the best way,” commented the exhibitor.

The venue also featured a stand area where visitors could meet companies dedicated to web development, hosting, domains, and digital marketing. Participants included ASOGRAF, Maestro BQ, Galería México, the Costa Rican Chamber of SMEs, Lyfter, +mujeres en UX, Kinsta, Google Developers Group, and Nic Costa Rica.

WordCamp San José 2025 is not only a space to learn about technology but also a platform to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen the costa Rican digital ecosystem, which continues to consolidate itself as a regional benchmark in collaboration and open development.
