One of the most anticipated Xbox titles of 2025 has already been confirmed to run seamlessly on the Steam Deck, even before its official launch. While Xbox Game Studios has experienced a mixed reception this year – with Avowed delivering a solid experience but not reaching the peaks of Obsidian Entertainment’s previous work, and south of Midnight falling short of expectations – Xbox Game pass continues to thrive. there’s still opportunity for Xbox Game Studios to strengthen its portfolio this year with upcoming releases like Gears of War: Reloaded, Keeper, Ninja Gaiden 4, and The Outer Worlds 2.
All four of these titles are slated for PC release, with three also extending to other consoles. Players intending to purchase Gears of War: Reloaded on Steam will be pleased to learn it is already “Steam Deck Verified” according to its Steam page, months ahead of its launch.
The “Verified” designation from Valve signifies that a game has undergone testing and is guaranteed to function flawlessly on the handheld device.
