Samsung to Expand Good Lock App Availability Globally with One UI 7
Samsung is expanding the accessibility of its customization powerhouse, Good Lock, with its upcoming One UI 7 update. The app, which allows Galaxy smartphone users to personalize their devices with a range of modules and functionalities, is currently available in over 40 countries.
According to recent information shared on social media, particularly in the One UI subreddit (via SamMobile), Samsung is planning to make Good Lock available in all regions with the release of One UI 7.
This information comes from screenshots posted in the One UI subreddit (via SamMobile). As per the post, a moderator on Samsung’s official support forum confirmed that the Good Lock app will be available in all countries with the upcoming One UI 7 update. While the app is currently exclusive to the Galaxy Store, the South Korean technology conglomerate is tipped to expand its availability to the Google Play Store as well.
It is said to be undergoing internal testing and may be launched alongside stable One UI 7.
The post also details the new features coming to One UI 7’s Good Lock app. The official says that it will come with improvements to the user interface for increased usability, tackling the nature of the app which has become complex with the addition of new features over time. This includes app filters to find apps easily, a new My Page tab with a Good Lock widget, gesture animation tuning, and edge panel customisation.
What’s New in Good Lock with One UI 7?
Good Lock will boast a comprehensive set of 23 features in One UI 7, including:
* **Routine Gallery**: Allows users to add, share, and independently apply routines with other Galaxy users.
* **Wallpaper Customization**: Users can now apply different wallpapers to their home and lock screens independently. The app icon, title, and status bar colors will automatically adapt to the chosen wallpaper.
* **Enhanced Customization**: Additional features include folder icon customization, the ability to specify app icon shapes, air command customization, and the option to automatically save videos to external storage.
These advancements promise deeper personalization and a more user-friendly experience for Galaxy device users.
