Traffic Collision in Takelvdalen, Målselv: Three Injured, Road Temporarily Closed

A collision between two cars in Takelvdalen, Målselv, on Monday afternoon resulted in injuries to three people and a temporary road closure, according to reports from Norwegian authorities.

The incident occurred near Bjørkli, close to the exit for Kallbekken, on the E6 highway, which has an 80 km/h speed limit. Police were alerted to the scene at 3:23 PM local time.

Emergency services, including two air ambulances, were dispatched to provide medical assistance. One person was flown to the University Hospital of Northern Norway (UNN) in Tromsø for further treatment, while two others were transported to a local emergency department for evaluation. The extent of the injuries remains unknown as of Monday evening.

Initial reports suggest the collision occurred during a passing maneuver. Police have confiscated the driver’s license of one of the drivers involved and have launched an investigation, including interviewing witnesses and the drivers.

The road was fully closed following the accident but was reopened to traffic at 5:40 PM after the vehicles were removed. Authorities reported slippery road conditions at the time of the incident.
