WWE Hall of Fame Ring of British Bulldog Recovered After Theft

The WWE Hall of Fame ring belonging to the late British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith, has been recovered after a brief period of being stolen during a break-in in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. The ring was found after an attempt to pawn it triggered an alert to authorities, according to family members.

Details of the Recovery

Harry Smith, also known as Davey Boy Smith Jr., announced the recovery on social media, stating that the ring was discovered when someone attempted to sell it at a pawn shop. “Good news!!… my dad’s WWE Hall of Fame ring has been FOUND!!! Someone tried to pawn it, and the police were called! Thank you all for your help and getting the word spread on this matter!” Global News reported.

Diana Hart Smith, Harry’s mother, also confirmed the ring’s location and its impending return in a social media post. “Great news! Davey’s WWE Hall of Fame Ring has been found at a pawn shop in Lloydminster and the ring is in the process of being returned to @dbsmithjr,” she wrote.

The Initial Theft

The ring was initially reported stolen on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, during a break-in targeting Canadian Wrestling’s Elite (CWE) while the promotion was on tour in Lloydminster, before traveling to Saskatoon. Newsweek detailed the incident, noting the trailer used by the promotion was forcibly entered.

Significance of the Ring

The original British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith, was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020, nearly two decades after his death in 2002. SEScoops highlighted the ring’s dual significance as both a professional honor and a deeply personal family heirloom passed down to his son. Harry Smith has described the ring as “priceless.”

Other Stolen Items and Recoveries

In addition to the Hall of Fame ring, other items stolen during the break-in included Davey Boy Smith Jr.’s wrestling gear, a Hart Foundation leather vest, and a CWE Tag Team Championship belt. According to Newsweek, the leather vest, wrestling gear, and CWE Tag Team Title belt have been recovered and returned to the promotion.

Reward Offered

WWE star Natalya, a niece of the British Bulldog, had offered a $5,000 USD reward for the safe return of the ring. Sporting News reported on her offer, emphasizing the importance of the stolen items to her family.
