George Mason Men’s Tennis Defeats Boston 4-0

FAIRFAX, Va. — The George Mason men’s tennis team secured a decisive 4-0 victory over Boston University on Saturday at the Mason Tennis Complex. The Patriots dominated both the doubles and singles competitions, showcasing a strong performance across the board.

Doubles Competition

George Mason claimed the doubles point with victories on courts two and three. Shari Saeed and Deniz Okyay delivered a 6-1 win over Jaydon Barki and Andrew Andea at No. 3 doubles, while Niza Simunyola and Edgar Vilain secured a 6-2 victory against Ege Tpkoc and Adrian Quiros at No. 2 doubles. The No. 1 doubles match, featuring Monil Lotlikar and Ekansh Kumar against David Asenov and Payton Jim-On, was left unfinished at 5-3.

Singles Competition

The Patriots continued their momentum into the singles matches, winning at the No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 positions. Shari Saeed defeated Jaydon Barki at No. 6 singles with scores of 6-2, 6-3. Zavan Fahim added another point with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Ege Tpkoc at No. 5 singles. Ekansh Kumar clinched the win for George Mason with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph over Adrian Quiros at No. 3 singles.

Other singles matches remained unfinished. Deniz Okyay and David Asenov were tied at 7-6(7), 1-1 in the No. 1 singles contest. Monil Lotlikar’s match against Payton Jim-On at No. 2 singles was incomplete with scores of 3-6, 3-5, and Niza Simunyola’s match with Andrew Andea at No. 4 singles was also unfinished at 6-3, 5-3.
