AEW Dynamite kicks off with Tony Schiavone in the ring for the contract signing of the AEW world Heavyweight Championship match. He introduces Hangman Adam Page to the ring.

Page gets in the ring and Tony introduces Kyle Fletcher with Don Callis and the fans boo. As Tony is about to speak, Don cuts him off and says he has something critically important to tell Page. He says he remembers when Page took on Kenny Omega a few years ago. And he has found someone who is bigger, faster and better than Kenny Omega and Page. He says there is nothing that Page can do to the all time stud athlete, there is no one like Kyle Fletcher. He says the title is coming to the family. Page tells him that after last week, he thought they agreed that he doesn’t need any help. He says he is tired of half the roster getting tired of interferences in the matches.

He tells Kyle that he sees the potential in him, what he coudl be. He says Kyle is 26 years old, he can be in AEW for decades. He is someone that the entire roster can one day look at to carry the company. And if he wants that, he has to be the man who is worthy of it. He is going to have to earn it on his own, my himself. He says if Kyle reads the contract, he will find that if Don or anyone from the Don Callis family interferes, he will also be stripped of the TNT Championship.

Kyle tells page that doesn’t scare him. He says he could put anything in his contract and he would still beat him. He congratulates page and says he has it in writng. He says he is still the best professional wrestler to ever step in an AEW ring. He says he will fulfill his destiny when he becomes the AEW World’s champion. He says he is better than Page was in 2019 when he first challenged for the title. Better than he was in 2021 when he first won it and he is better than he is right now. He says AEW dose not need Page anymore, does not need Kenny Omega anymore. It needs Kyle Fletcher. And he will allow him to ride off in the sunset because the title and the entire company belongs to him now. Kyle signs the contract and gives the contract to Tony. He gives it to Page who looks at it.

Page says that he knows what it feels to be him. But what Kyle does not know is how he will feel the morning after All Out. It will crush him, it will ruin him, it will take any bit of confidence he will have. He tells him that what Kyle does with that feeling will be what defines him. He tells him at All Out and the days and years that follow,to not disappoint him. Page signs the contract.

Both men get up and Kyle says he hopes by now, he knows that he is a man of his word. There would be no physicality at this contract signing, there will be no interference in their match but he promises that he will leave with the TNT and World title. And tonight, he is going to leave Page beaten, bloodied and unable to walk out of there on his own two feet. And until that moment comes, Page tells him to say his full name. He tosses the microphone and leaves the ring.

Heated Confrontation and tag team Action on AEW

Ricochet and Goa were involved in a post-match altercation with The Hurt Syndicate, quickly being driven away.

Following a commercial break, Tony Schiavone introduced Copeland to a roaring crowd, his theme song sung along with by the fans. Christian’s music then hit, bringing both men into the ring. Schiavone then introduced FTR and Stokely Hathaway, accompanied by security.

Stokely Hathaway immediately laid down the law, issuing a $100,000 fine for anyone touching FTR and a staggering $500,000 fine for anyone touching him, with the added threat of match cancellation. He appealed to Copeland and Christian’s sense of responsibility to their families and friends.

Cash Wheeler addressed Copeland, recalling their first meeting 16 years prior and how they helped revitalize his career. He asserted that while Copeland came to AEW, FTR did all the work, and at All Out, they would dismantle his career.

Dax Harwood followed, stating that while Copeland and Christian were once a top tag team, they were elevated by weaker competition. He positioned FTR as the true carriers of tag team wrestling for the past 11 years, boasting a legacy of classic matches against opponents like Big Bill and Enzo, The Briscoes, and numerous championship wins, calling themselves a “generational tag team.” He framed the upcoming match as a dream encounter for Copeland and Christian.

Copeland interrupted, demanding Stokely not speak about his wife. He accused FTR of betraying their friendship, recalling offering them shelter when they were struggling. He expressed his desire to work with them in AEW, but claimed the fans ultimately want to see him.

copeland declared FTR were in the discussion for best of all time, but they’ve been around for 25 years. They revolutionized tag team wrestling, creating a match that became a PPV.Copeland stated there is only one Cope and cage, but Christian interjected with “Cage and Cope.” Copeland confidently predicted FTR would soon understand why they are superior.

Christian chimed in, sarcastically commenting on the $100,000 and $500,000 fines, suggesting Stokely might finally be able to afford companionship. He dismissed the money as irrelevant, asserting his own correctness. Christian and Copeland then launched an attack on FTR, overpowering the security attempting to intervene. FTR retreated from the ring, with dax Harwood sporting a bloody nose.

(Tweet from Wrestleview.com): “That was a great promo from both teams.I liked the intensity from everyone and Christian was great here. the best segment of the show.”
