Brody Bassett, F, Nauset
Bassett has had a steady start to the season for the Warriors with four goals in four games. He’s had two multi-goal games, including in the win over Malden catholic. Cape cod High School Hockey Standouts: Keefe and Precourt Lead Dennis-yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II
The Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II girls’ hockey team is off to a strong start, thanks in large part to the performances of senior defenseman Delaney Keefe and eighth-grade goaltender Sammi Precourt. Both players have been instrumental in key victories for the dolphins, signaling a promising season for the program.
Delaney Keefe: Defensive Cornerstone
Delaney Keefe is a dominant force on the Dolphins’ blue line. As a senior, she consistently faces off against the opposing team’s top offensive lines, effectively shutting down their scoring opportunities. Her defensive prowess is a major factor in the team’s early success, including notable wins against Sandwich/BMC and Nauset/Monomoy. keefe’s ability to control the defensive zone and make crucial plays has established her as a key leader for Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John paul II.
Sammi Precourt: Rising Star in Net
Eighth-grader Sammi Precourt has quickly become a vital component of the Dolphins’ success. Her performance in net, particularly during the team’s victory over Nauset/Monomoy – allowing only one goal – was a pivotal moment and arguably one of the most significant wins in the program’s history. Precourt’s composure and skill demonstrate a shining future for the young goaltender and provide a solid foundation for the team’s defensive strategy.
Looking Ahead
The Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Cod Academy/St. John Paul II girls’ hockey team, led by the strong play of Keefe and Precourt, appears poised for continued success this season. With a solid defense and reliable goaltending, the Dolphins are well-positioned to compete for a strong finish in their league and beyond.
