Annabel Schofield, ‘Dallas’ Actress and 1980s Model, Dies at 62
Annabel Schofield, a Welsh-born model who gained recognition in the 1980s fashion world and later appeared in the television drama “Dallas,” has died at the age of 62. She passed away on Saturday, February 28, in Los Angeles, following a battle with cancer USA Today.
From Runway to Television
Schofield began her career on the European runway, making a name for herself in London during the 1980s. She graced the covers of major fashion magazines, including Vogue, and participated in campaigns for renowned brands such as Versace and Yves Saint Laurent Parade. She was also known for her appearance in a Bugle Boy jeans commercial Los Angeles Times.
Transitioning from modeling to acting, Schofield studied at an acting school in Novel York before landing a role as Laurel Ellis in “Dallas.” She appeared in 12 episodes of the popular soap opera, acting alongside Larry Hagman, who played J.R. Ewing USA Today.
Later Function and Health Battle
Schofield’s other acting credits include roles in “Solar Crisis” (1990), “Body Armor” (1997), and “Midnight Blue” (1997) USA Today. She later pursued work as a film and television producer and authored a semi-autobiographical novel Los Angeles Times.
Schofield publicly documented her battle with cancer through a GoFundMe campaign, raising nearly $35,000. In July, she revealed that the cancer had spread to her brain and she was undergoing chemotherapy Parade. She shared her experiences, including undergoing surgery to remove a mass through her nostrils, and expressed the challenges of maintaining hope during her illness Parade.
