A new family manager is already taking its first steps on the national scene. This is Anta Asset Management, owned by Corporación Financiera Azuaga, which has just announced the signing of Jacobo Anes, as CEO, and Federico Battaner Dubois, as Investment Director.
Both have extensive experience in the world of asset management. Jacobo Anes, with more than 20 years of management experience in the sector, was director of Savings-Investment Strategy at Unicaja Banco, formerly Liberbank, an entity he joined in 2008. Previously, he developed his career at BANIF Banca Privada and at UBS Wealth Management. For his part, Federico Battaner comes from Trea AM where he was director of Variable Income and Pension Funds. Previously he was Director of Investments at Novo Banco Gestión, and fund manager at Banco Madrid. He began his career in the derivatives area of Grupo Ahorro Corporación and, later, of Intermoney Valores.
Likewise, according to Citywire, in the coming days six other Trea AM professionals who were part of the Battaner team will also join. It’s about the analysts Victor Morales and Javier Gil, the debt and emerging markets manager Pedro Pérez-Riu, and within the sales and marketing team, Patricia López, Carlos Asolete and Alberto Muñoz.
Anta AM saw the green light from the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) last summer. Its objective is to invest in alternative products such as renewable energy, venture capital, real estate securities, agriculture and education. It also provides financial and insurance services to its clients through the different companies of the holding familiar.
