Francisco Carlos Rubio, better known as Frank Rubiohas become the astronaut with the record for longest individual US space flightspending 371 days without being able to return from the International Space Station (ISS).

Rubio has returned to The earth aboard the Russian Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft, together with Russian cosmonauts from Roscosmos (Russian space agency) Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitri Petelin.

The trio has returned after a mission that has covered 157.4 million miles and 5,963 Earth orbitslanding in the steppe of Kazakhstan at 1:17 p.m. (Spanish time).

In September 2022, Rubio ascended to the ISS aboard a Russian spacecraft to complete a six-month mission. However, A failure in his vehicle made his return impossible.leaving without a specific return date.
