Mercadona innovates with a cheesecake nougat for this Christmas

The distribution company Mercadona has once again revolutionized networks by inaugurating Christmas 2023 by now putting on sale the typical products of these holidays and, in addition, by innovating with a cheesecake nougat, under its white food brand Farmer.

Mercadona sells it under its white label but the manufacturer is the company Antiu Xixona, leader in Turrón de Jijona and Alicante. The company, founded by the Sanchis Mira family, leads the sector of nougat, with a production capacity of 17,000 tons, with brands such as nougat Fame, Sanchis Mira y Antiu Xixonawhose tablets will compete with Cheesecake launched this Christmas.

The 150 gram tablet of Cheesecake nougat is on sale for 1.90 euros, which means that per kilo is 12.66 euros, of which the manufacturer says on its label that it is a “chocolate nougat white with powdered cheese and berry-flavored cream. Supreme quality.”

It is not the first time that Mercadona innovates with new flavors and presentations in this type of sweets. In 2021, it launched Cream de Avellana nougat, also under its white food brand, which remains on sale for 1.80 euros per 140 gram tablet.

To these innovations, add the time-honored classics: hard, soft and crunchy chocolate nougat.
