Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar Unite on New Single “Fine Flirts”

Cousins Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar have collaborated once again, releasing the new track “Good Flirts” as part of Keem’s recently released album, Ca$ino. The song showcases their signature dynamic and adds to a growing catalog of joint releases.

A Playful Exchange

“Good Flirts” is described as a playful and flirtatious track, seemingly directed towards a past relationship Keem can’t quite let go of. The song features a downtempo beat and vocals from Momo Boyd of the soft-rock group Infinity Song.

Kendrick Lamar’s Verse

Kendrick Lamar’s verse offers a glimpse into his personal world, referencing watching television and admiring his partner. He even contemplates a thought-provoking question: “if God might be a woman.”

Continued Collaboration

“Good Flirts” is the latest in a series of collaborations between Keem and Lamar, including previous tracks like “The Hillbillies,” “Vent,” “Range Brothers,” and the Grammy-winning “Family Ties.” Lamar also contributed to a series of documentary shorts accompanying the release of Ca$ino, offering insights into Keem’s artistic development.

‘Ca$ino’ Album Details

Ca$ino is Baby Keem’s second studio album, following his 2021 release, The Melodic Blue. The album also features contributions from Too $hort and Che Ecru. Keem is set to embark on an extensive international tour in support of Ca$ino, with performances scheduled across North America, Canada, Europe, and the UK between April and September.

Common’s “The Light” Interpolation

Notably, Kendrick Lamar’s contribution to “Good Flirts” includes an interpolation of Common’s 2000 hit song, “The Light,” produced by J Dilla. This marks the second recent high-profile interpolation of the classic track, following J. Cole’s use of it on his album, The Fall-Off. “The Light” itself samples Bobby Caldwell’s “Open Your Eyes” and has been previously sampled by artists like Madlib and The Game.
