Battlefield 6S Battle Royale is Coming Soon

Valve didn’t invent the Battle Royale genre, but they certainly popularized it. Unfortunately, they also snagged the best name, forcing EA to get creative with Battlefield 6‘s take on the mode.

Expect to jump into the action as early as tonight, leading into tomorrow. EA is preparing to launch the free-to-play Battle Royale mode alongside the first season as a surprise. The big question is whether it will succeed, but data mining has revealed a potential debut date of October 28th – a promising sign.Even if the mode doesn’t arrive on Tuesday, recent leaks are giving us a better understanding of what to expect.

Let’s start with the name. DICE’s previous Battle Royale attempt in Battlefield V was called Firestorm, referencing the encroaching circle. This time, the name is reportedly going to be “Caldera.”
