Knicks End Skid, Top bulls 128-116
NEW YORK — Jalen Brunson led the way with 31 points as the New York Knicks broke a three-game losing streak, defeating the Chicago Bulls 128-116 on sunday night. This win also marked the Bulls’ first loss of the season.
Brunson was efficient, shooting 12-of-20 from the field. He also dished out 8 assists. Julius Randle added 28 points and 12 rebounds for New York. RJ Barrett chipped in with 20 points, providing crucial support.
the Knicks’ offense was firing on all cylinders. They shot 52.5% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range. They controlled the paint, outscoring the Bulls 58-44.
For the Bulls, Zach LaVine scored 29 points. DeMar DeRozan contributed 24 points and 7 assists, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Knicks’ balanced attack. Chicago struggled with turnovers, committing 17, which led to 22 points for New York.
New York built a double-digit lead in the third quarter and never relinquished it. They consistently answered every Bulls run with timely baskets and strong defense. The Knicks’ bench also provided a meaningful boost, outscoring the Bulls’ reserves 38-28.
