FIFA’s revamped Club World Cup has officially unveiled its exciting group stage draw, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown between the world’s best club teams. The tournament, kicking off in the United States on June 14, newcomers a refreshing shift, boasting a new format with 32 teams battling for continental and global supremacy.

Drawn in Miami on December 5, the 32 teams were divided into eight groups of four.

Group A

Inter Miami will kick off the tournament against Egypt’s Al Ahly at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 14, with the final being played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 13.

Miami will stay on the east coast, resembling Argentina’s path to the final during the 2024 Copa America in the U.S.

Javier Mascherano’s side will open the tournament against Al Ahly on June 14 at Hard Rock Stadium then travel to Atlanta to take on Porto in what will be a decisive match for the MLS side. Messi and his team-mates will then return to Hard Rock to close the first round against Brazilian giants Palmeiras — a club that should be well supported in South Florida. It’s certainly not the group of death, but Miami will have plenty of work to do to advance.
