Weekend Tips: harp music,country Songs,and a Gender Performance
Music enthusiasts have a large selection between harp music and country songs this weekend. Unusual: a gender performance and a light show.
Friday:
“In… entirely from the weather house! – Kirk & Cocos Gender-Varieté” – a Varieté cabinet between poetry and punk prayer! Kirk & Coco (Ursula Pehlke and Hauke Stichling-Pehlke) calculate with toxic men’s pictures, with everyday sexism and the vehement hold on gender roles.They quote Pussy Riot and the feminist struggle,they let the late 60s revive,in which single mothers came in moral,replace the word gender with them and let them float again and again as butterflies. Sunday:
The art project A house of the artist group KX07 opens its doors again. In the past few weeks, the nine women have researched the three-story house, in which a butcher’s formerly had its domicile, and developed installations for many rooms – which relate to the history of the house. – Dannenberg (Lange Strasse 11).

Saturday – gartow’s 800th Birthday Festivity:
The anniversary year will be completed in Gartow on Saturday. Readings and lectures on Gartow’s history, as well as two concerts, fill the day. The highlight in the evening: a light show with virtual fireworks at the Gartow church.
Program Overview:
* 3 p.m. Gartow. At the church (Evangelical Forum). Gartow women tell. Eleven gartow women, different ages, old-established or moved, tell of their view of life in Gartow.
* 4.30 p.m. Church square. Jam session with the jazz Band Jeetzel
* 6 p.m. Church. Lectures by Axel Kahrs, Eckhard kruse and Wolfgang Baark. musically accompanied by Christian Järnecke and Margitta Henatsch (chest organ, flute and hailstone organ)
* 8 p.m.Church square. Cello orchestra Lüchow. Light shows are projected during the breaks.
* 9:00 p.m./9.30pm.Church square. Virtual fireworks. (Dietrich Burmeister (Lichtdesign) & Arthur Schrödinger (large-scale projection of virtual fireworks))
