Daifuku Expands Facility in Hobart, Indiana – Logistics News

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation, a subsidiary of Daifuku Co., Ltd., headquartered in Japan, held a grand opening on October 2, 2025, for its expanded facility in Hobart, Indiana.

The expansion adds 310,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space to the original 324,000 square foot facility, creating a total footprint of 634,000 square foot. This significant investment supports Daifuku Intralogistics America’s long-term commitment to strengthening its material handling equipment (MHE) manufacturing capabilities in the United States, ensuring enhanced capacity to deliver advanced automation technologies and solutions to customers across North America.

The Hobart facility currently employs 440 professionals, with plans to expand the workforce by 350 over the coming years to meet the growing demands of the market.
