Dominican stories Shine in New Documentary

The Dominican community in Massachusetts is celebrating the premiere of “Dominicans with the naked eye Boston++,” a documentary that shares the life stories, triumphs, and contributions of Dominicans in Boston and Lawrence. The film will be shown at caribbean Cinemas in Downtown Center, starting September 25.

“This project is a tribute to the resilience and the greatness of our people. We didn’t just wont to show numbers; we wanted to reveal the faces, emotions, and dreams of a community known for its hard work, growth, vision, and development,” said Marianne Cruz González, the executive producer and journalist behind the film.

This project continues the documentary series Dominicans with the naked eye, which has already highlighted Dominican nationals in Madrid and New York.

This new film focuses on Massachusetts, where Dominicans make up the largest Latino community. In Lawrence, they represent almost 53% of the population, making them a vital group in the economic, social, and political life of the city.
