ElektrAV Festival to Illuminate Pamplona’s Citadel with Cutting-Edge Electronic Music
Pamplona, Spain – The Citadel of Pamplona will once again pulse with the energy of innovative sound and visual artistry as the third edition of the ElektrAV festival approaches. Scheduled for February 20th and 21st, 2026, the festival anticipates welcoming approximately 600 attendees eager to explore the intersection of music, technology, and creativity.
A Hub for Experimental Music and Visual Arts
ElektrAV is established as a leading festival dedicated to exploring electronic music in its most technological and experimental forms. The event fosters a meeting point for diverse disciplines, merging creativity, art, and new languages to generate unique experiences that challenge conventional boundaries. Each edition invites audiences to immerse themselves in a space where innovation and the integration of music with visual and digital arts take center stage.
The Citadel as a Canvas for Innovation
This year’s festival will be held within the historic Weapons Room of the Citadel of Pamplona, a Renaissance-era military bastion fort constructed between the 16th and 17th centuries Citadel of Pamplona – Wikipedia. The Citadel, as well known as the New Castle (Iruñeko zitadela in Basque, Ciudadela de Pamplona in Spanish), is a significant cultural landmark and a UNESCO-recognized component of the Camino de Santiago Citadel of Pamplona – Wikipedia. The space will be enhanced with a sustainable carpet created from recycled materials from previous NICDO events.

The festival lineup showcases a diverse range of international, national, and local artists representing different generations and approaches to contemporary electronic music. Notable performances include live audiovisual sets from Protocolo Sysex, Client_03, Cora Novoa, Rec Overflow, and Datalens, the latter selected through the ElektrAV Live Creations call for contemporary musical research and production.
The musical program is further enriched by performances from Cristian Wünsch, Lady Packa, Architectural, Kenya Arakama, Adriana Lopez, Umwelt, Legowelt, Telva, Mike Villas, Vema Diodes, and Mailu, offering a sonic journey spanning signature techno, electronic experimentation, and new audiovisual narratives.
Local Talent Takes Center Stage
ElektrAV emphasizes the importance of local participation, with a significant presence of artists from Pamplona and the surrounding region. Festival director Javier Suescun emphasizes, “The presence of local artists is essential and what gives the festival its own identity; this was born from Iruña and is for Iruña.” Telva, a Navarrese DJ based in Berlin, and Mike Villas, selected through a collaboration with the Navarra Music Commission, will be featured performers.
A New Sonic Record: ‘The Citadel: Speaks’
The third edition of ElektrAV will also spot the release of the festival’s first record, a vinyl compilation titled ‘The Citadel: Speaks.’ Conceived as a “sound recording of the already celebrated editions of the festival,” the compilation features leading artists in experimental and avant-garde electronics, including UZIQ, Boris Divider, Komatssu, Alberta Balsam, and Bendiak.
Growing Attendance and Regional Impact
Organizers anticipate approximately 600 attendees, a significant increase from the 170 tickets sold in the first two editions. More than half of the attendees are expected to approach from outside the Autonomous Community of Navarre, with a strong representation from Madrid and Barcelona, solidifying ElektrAV’s position as a cultural destination for the state electronic music community.
Support and Collaboration
ElektrAV receives support from the Pamplona City Council Culture Area, Laboral Kutxa, Keler, and the Navarra Music Commission, highlighting a collaborative effort to foster a contemporary, innovative, and accessible cultural project.
