Israel Confirms Attack on Hodeidah Port in Yemen

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Israel has confirmed that it launched an attack on Hodeidah Port in Yemen. This is part of a series of recent attacks on teh country targeting the Houthi group.

TV station al masirah, wich is affiliated with Houthi, reported that Israel carried out 12 attacks on Tuesday (2025/09/16), with the Israeli army claiming it was a response to Houthi’s military activities there.

“Our air defense is currently facing an Israeli aircraft launching aggression against our country,” wrote a spokesman for Houthi, yahya Saree, on X.

A few hours before the attack on the Red Sea coast city, the Israeli military, which accused Houthi of using the port to receive weapons from Iran, had issued threats to evacuate the area.

“For your safety, we urge everyone at the Hodeida port and ships that dock there to instantly evacuate the area,” said Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee on X.

Speaking to reuters, two sources at the port said that the Israeli attack targeted three piers.
