BTS’s J-Hope Donates $207,000 to Children’s Welfare Organizations on Birthday
BTS member J-Hope celebrated his birthday on February 18, 2026, by donating a total of 300 million won (approximately $207,000) to support children in need, demonstrating a continued commitment to philanthropy. The donation was split between Seoul Asan Medical Center and ChildFund Korea.
Donation to Seoul Asan Medical Center
J-Hope donated 200 million won ($138,000) to the Children’s Hospital at Seoul Asan Medical Center. The hospital plans to use the funds to improve medical facilities and treatment environments for pediatric and adolescent patients, as well as to support home-based medical care and psychological therapy programs for children with severe illnesses.
Support for ChildFund Korea
In addition to the donation to the hospital, J-Hope contributed 100 million won ($69,000) to ChildFund Korea. These funds will be used for scholarships for students in his hometown of Gwangju, specifically at Kukje High School and Jeonnam Girls’ Commercial High School, assisting students facing financial difficulties. J-Hope has supported students at these schools since 2019.
Continued Philanthropic Efforts
This birthday donation builds on J-Hope’s previous contributions to Asan Medical Center, bringing his total donations to the hospital to 500 million won ($346,000) since 2022. He has also been involved in animal welfare initiatives, including a charity auction to benefit animal rescue organizations.
“I continue to donate because I want to give back to ARMY, who always send me great support,” J-Hope stated. “I am grateful to make another meaningful contribution on my birthday this year. I sincerely hope children can overcome their illnesses and continue to pursue their dreams with hope.”
J-Hope’s Green Noble Trinity Club Status
With this latest donation to ChildFund Korea, J-Hope has develop into the 14th member of the organization’s Green Noble Trinity Club, a group recognizing donors who have contributed 1 billion won or more to the organization.
