Jade Cargill Named Number one Contender for WWE Women’s Championship – Jade Cargill is now teh number one contender for the WWE Women’s Championship. She earned this spot on the August 29 episode of SmackDown after a backstage confrontation with current champion Tiffany Stratton.

cargill explained she deserved the opportunity as she pinned Nia Jax in tag team competition last Friday. Stratton quickly countered, saying Cargill should be thanking her for setting up the win.

The exchange became heated, with Cargill asserting she and Stratton are on different levels. Stratton fired back, pointing too her undefeated record in 2025, including her victory over Cargill at SummerSlam, and emphasized her continued dominance.
