Supporting Grassroots Sports
The auction wasn’t limited to Leerdam’s suit; outfits worn by fellow Dutch Olympic champions Femke Kok (500 meters) and Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong (1,500 meters) were similarly available. Yet, Leerdam’s suit commanded the highest price by far.
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the clubs where the athletes began their sporting careers.
