Laëtitia Milot Exits ‘Best Pastry Chef’ France After Two Seasons
Laëtitia Milot, the host of the French culinary reality show Le Meilleur Pâtissier (Best Pastry Chef), is departing the program after two seasons. The actress, known for her role in the series More Beautiful Life, announced her decision on social media on Monday, February 23, 2026.
Focus on Acting Projects
Milot stated she is leaving to dedicate herself fully to fiction projects. “I took this role of host – and confidante – remarkably seriously, in the same way as all those I have played in my life as an actress,” she explained on Instagram, where she has nearly 600,000 followers. She expressed delight in having hosted the show for two seasons and wished the program continued success, describing it as a “superb family program which exudes kindness and authenticity.”
Succession and Previous Hosts
M6, the French television network broadcasting Le Meilleur Pâtissier, has not yet announced Milot’s replacement. She succeeded Marie Portolano, who hosted the show for three seasons. Portolano, in turn, took over from Faustine Bollaert and Julia Vignali. Le Meilleur Pâtissier, adapted from the British show The Great British Bake Off, premiered in France in 2012 and too airs in Belgium on RTL-TVI.
Early Consideration of Other Personalities
According to reports, Milot was not the initial first choice for the hosting role. Fitness influencer Juju Fitcats and comedian Élodie Poux were also considered for the position.
