National Rally Candidate Unveils Langon Municipal Election List
Langon, Gironde – François Xavier-Marques, leading the National Rally (RN) list, has announced his team of candidates for the upcoming municipal elections in Langon, scheduled for March 2026. The announcement, made as the first round of elections approaches, highlights a focus on youth and local engagement.
A Young and Committed Team
Marques emphasized the average age of his list is between 40 and 42, prioritizing commitment—both professional and associative—over age. “We have experienced people within our team. And it’s not age that makes the experience,” he stated, according to Actu. He contrasted this with other lists, questioning the experience of candidates who have not previously held elected office.
Nearly Entirely National Rally Members
The RN candidate acknowledged that most of his team are members of the National Rally, with potentially one exception. “But that was our goal,” Marques said, as reported by Actu.
Key Policy Proposals
Marques’ platform centers around several key proposals, including the construction of a covered market to support local artisans and businesses, and arming the municipal police. He noted that even the mayor of Bordeaux has armed their municipal police, as reported by Sud Ouest.
