nasdem Rotates Parliament Members to Boost Performance

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Chairman of the Democratic National Party Faction (NasDem) in parliament Viktor Bungtilu laiskodat explained the reasons for the rotation of its members. He stated this is a party step to strengthen the faction’s performance and align it with the spirit of Indonesian restoration.

The rotation placed Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission III Ahmad Sahroni as a member of the House of Representatives Commission I, while the position previously held by Sahroni was filled by NasDem faction member, Sarifuddin Sudding.

“This is a normal rotation within the faction to refresh and optimize performance. We want to ensure our members are working effectively and contributing to the legislative process,” said Laiskodat. he emphasized that the rotation isn’t a punishment or demotion, but rather a strategic move to utilize members’ skills and experience in different areas.

Sahroni, now on Commission I wich oversees defence, foreign affairs, data, and communication, expressed his readiness to take on the new role. “I’m eager to contribute to national security and foreign policy discussions,” he stated. Sudding, taking over Sahroni’s role in Commission III which handles legal affairs, human rights, and security, also welcomed the change, promising to continue the commission’s work effectively.

Laiskodat further explained that NasDem regularly evaluates its members’ performance and makes adjustments as needed. “We are committed to having a strong and effective faction that represents the interests of the Indonesian people,” he concluded. This rotation is part of a broader effort by NasDem to strengthen its position in Parliament and prepare for future elections.
