Giannis Leads Early NBA All-Star Voting, Ball Surprises

NBA fans are speaking, and Giannis Antetokounmpo is hearing them loud and clear. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar leads early voting returns for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, showcasing the dominant force he continues to be.

Antetokounmpo amassed 1,710,630 votes, topping the overall balloting. Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic leads the Western Conference with 1,422,121 votes.

Other stars rounding out the top 10 include: Jayson Tatum, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Karl-Anthony Towns, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Anthony Davis, LaMelo Ball, and Victor Wembanyama. Notably, Ball’s inclusion despite playing only 22 games this season due to injury, stands out.

New Format Adds Excitement

Adding another layer of excitement, the 2025 NBA All-Star Game will feature a revamped tournament format. Three teams will consist of the selected All-Stars, with NBA legends Charles Barkley, Shaq, and Kenny Smith drafting the teams. A fourth team, featuring Rising Stars Challenge participants, will also join the competition. This unique format promises intense competition and an unpredictable tournament experience.
