Mavericks Fire General Manager After Rough Start

After a disastrous start to the season (3 wins, 8 losses), the Dallas Mavericks are making changes!

The former club of German basketball legend Dirk Nowitzki (47) has fired General Manager Nico Harrison (52), effective immediately.

notable: Harrison was responsible for the controversial trade of superstar Luka Dončić (26) in February and has faced heavy criticism for months.

The Slovenian player was surprisingly traded to the LA lakers in February under Harrison’s leadership,exchanged for the injury-prone Anthony Davis (32).

Harrison faced fan anger, with supporters chanting “Fire Nico” and displaying anti-GM posters at games.

Harrison’s decisions also reportedly caused former player Nowitzki to distance himself from the Mavericks.
