Nevada was shorthanded, but teh Wolf Pack had an outstanding second half and beat Washington State, 78-64, on Sunday in Pullman, Washington.
Nevada had four players score in double figures, led by Tayshawn Comer with 24 points. Elijah price added 15 points (6-of-6 free throws) and eight rebounds, Chuck Bailey III had 12 points and Amire Robinson had 11, on 4-of-5 from deep, as the Pack improved to 7-3.
The wolf Pack was without three players, Joel Armotrading, out with an injured sternum, suffered against Washington on Nov. 28. Corey camper jr.,the Pack’s leading scorer,and Ethan Croley both were out with undisclosed injuries.
Washington State led 32-31 at the half as the Pack started the game going 1-of-10 from the field. But the Pack came out on fire from deep in the second half to build 14-point lead, 63-49, with 8:04 left to play.
The Pack hit 7-of-10 from the 3-point line in the second half and 10-of-10 free throws.

Tomas Thrashtarson led the Cougars (3-7) with a career-high 20 points off the bench. The Pack held the Cougars leading scorer,Ace Glass III,to 10 points (3-of-14 FG) before he fouled out late in the game. glass had been averaging 17.3 points per game and was one of the top 10 freshman in the nation in scoring.
Nevada is 1-1 in true road games with one more nonconference opponent left.
