Paul Mescal Auctions Gladiator II Wardrobe for Pieta House
Irish heartthrob and actor Paul Mescal is auctioning off items from his personal wardrobe worn during the “Gladiator II” press tour to benefit Pieta House, a suicide prevention and support charity.
A Stylish Cause
The auction will take place on December 16th through the secondhand fashion platform Vinted. A variety of items, ranging from Jimmy Choo leather boots and trendy knitted wear to stylish t-shirts, will be available for bidding. These pieces were all worn by Mescal during interviews and promotional events for the highly anticipated film.
Stephanie Manahan, Chief Executive of Pieta House, told RTÉ’s News at One, “He has become a bit of a style icon for sure.” She emphasized that the clothes will be visible on Vinted before the auction, and expects huge interest from fans.
Continuing a Tradition of Support
This is not the first time Mescal has used his platform to support Pieta House. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he auctioned off his iconic chain necklace from the series “Normal People,” sparking a fashion trend and raising considerable funds for the charity.

According to Manahan, Mescal is deeply committed to raising awareness about mental health, particularly among young men. “If someone like Paul can encourage young men to seek help, to reach out, to talk, then it’s really a job incredibly well done,” she stated.
