Rams Offense Getting a Boost: Puka Nacua Returns from Injury
The Los Angeles Rams are getting some much-needed reinforcements on offense. Wide receiver Puka Nacua, who has been sidelined since Week 1 with a knee injury, is officially back on the practice field.
Nacua’s Return Marks a Turning Point for the Rams
The Rams opened Nacua’s 21-day practice window on Tuesday, signifying his return from injured reserve. This comes just days after the exciting news that Cooper Kupp, the other half of the Rams’ dynamic wide receiver duo, is also expected back from injury this Thursday night.
Nacua’s injury has been a significant blow to the Rams’ offense. He had been limited to just 25 snaps in 2024, recording four receptions for 35 yards before his exit in the Week 1 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions. His knee issue had been lingering throughout training camp and preseason, ultimately aggravated during the game.
Struggling Offense Needs a Spark
The Rams’ offensive struggles have been well-documented this season. With both Kupp and Nacua injured, the team has averaged just 212.8 passing yards and 19.0 points per game, resulting in a 2-4 record entering Week 8. The return of both receivers could be the spark the offense needs to turn things around.
The Rams faithful are eagerly awaiting the duo’s return. With Kupp and Nacua back in the lineup, the Rams offense has the potential to be a force to be reckoned with once again.
