Foxtrot Network Leader Rawa Majid Linked to Criminal Activity in Norway and Iran

Rawa Majid, the head of the Sweden-based Foxtrot criminal network, has been implicated in serious criminal activities extending beyond Sweden, including connections to incidents in Norway and a current situation involving alleged association with Iranian authorities. Despite rumors of his death, sources confirm Majid remains alive.

Foxtrot Network’s Criminal Reach

The Foxtrot Network, led by Rawa Majid, is linked to dozens of murders, hundreds of violent incidents, and extensive drug trafficking operations, according to Norwegian and Swedish police. The U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned the Foxtrot Network in March 2025 for illicit drug trafficking and violent attacks, including a January 2024 attack on the Israeli Embassy in Stockholm, which Swedish authorities classified as terrorism.

Connections to Norway

Norwegian police are investigating potential links between the Foxtrot Network and several incidents within Norway over the past year. One line of inquiry centers on the bomb attack on the U.S. Embassy in Oslo last weekend, with an order through the Foxtrot network being considered as a possible theory. Reports indicate Majid has had direct contact with several of Norway’s most wanted individuals.

Majid’s Situation in Iran

Following his arrest in Iran in autumn 2023, Majid is reportedly “freaked out” and is now considered by U.S. And British intelligence services to be associated with Iranian authorities. The U.S. Treasury Department asserts that Iran has increasingly used criminal groups like the Foxtrot Network to conduct covert operations.

Rumors of Death and Staged Demise

Over the weekend, rumors circulated regarding Majid’s death, fueled by claims of a rocket attack in Iran and a post on TikTok by former Foxtrot member Pala Omar. However, sources with knowledge of Majid’s movements have confirmed he is still alive. Speculation arose that Majid might have staged his own death, similar to a tactic employed by a trusted associate, Mustafa “Benzema” Aljiburi, but sources indicate Majid did not attempt to fake his death.

Challenges to Network Operations

Despite his continued life, Majid is reportedly facing challenges in maintaining control over the Foxtrot network. Disruptions to internet access in Iran have hindered his ability to communicate with the outside world, potentially impacting the network’s operations in Norway.

Threat to Norwegian Security

Kripos, Norway’s national criminal investigation service, considers organized crime a significant security threat. Sweden is currently experiencing a “crisis of violence” with a surge in gang-related incidents, and Kripos is focusing on the structures behind the violence and the financial resources that sustain it, emphasizing international cooperation to address the issue.
