Missile Intercepted in Medina, Saudi Arabia
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – A missile was reportedly fired at Saudi Arabia on Thursday. The Saudi Arabian Instagram account, That Saudi page, reported this based on video circulating on social media.
“A missile was intercepted in Medina yesterday,” the page wrote, as seen by CNBC Indonesia on Friday (2025/09/12 10:47:21).
“It happened after the dawn prayer,” the site added.
The video references the TikTok account @taufiqueahmed94. it shows a flying light accompanied by the sound of an explosion.
Many social media users questioned the news’s veracity. Others speculate the missile originated in Yemen, targeting Israel.
“Maybe a missile was launched from Yemen to Israel, and Saudi Arabia intercepted it,” said user @Adv.uzmazhar.
On Thursday, Israel claimed to intercept a missile fired from Yemen. This followed Israel’s bombing of Sanaa, targeting the Houthi group.
