Several women set fire to the houses of those suspected of having humiliated two women in India

A group of outraged women have set fire to the houses of four people suspected of having forced two women to parading naked in the Indian state of Manipur (northeast), where the clashes ethnic groups left in recent months at least 120 deadaccording to a video released on Friday.

The suspects were identified from a video of the accidentoccurred at the beginning of May, which became viral on social media on Wednesday that caused outrage across the country.

“Four defendants have been arrested in the case of the viral video,” the Manipur state police wrote on Twitter on Thursday night.

The pictures show Two women from the Christian Kuki tribe walking naked down a street, taunted and harassed by a crowd, presumably from the dominant Meitei ethnic group, mostly Hindu.

After the suspects were arrested, a group of Meitei activists threw hay at the house of one of the defendants in Imfal, the state capital, and set it on fire.
