A retired California Highway Patrol officer unearthed a treasure trove of unreleased Michael Jackson music tapes, potentially worth millions. Gregg Musgrove, now a stay-at-home dad, made the incredible discovery in a storage unit in the San Fernando Valley.

King of Pop Treasures Found in Storage Unit

The storage unit had once belonged to Bryan Loren, a music producer and singer whose whereabouts are currently unknown. Within the unit’s confines, Musgrove uncovered a collection of 12 unreleased Michael Jackson tracks, recorded between 1989 and 1991, predating his iconic “Dangerous” album.

“I’m listening to this stuff, and I would get goosebumps because nobody’s ever heard this stuff before,” Musgrove shared in an interview. “To hear Michael Jackson actually talk and kind of joke back and forth, it was really, really cool.”

Among the unreleased tracks is one titled “Don’t Believe It,” which seems to reference the rumors that would circulate about Jackson in the media. Another track, “Seven Digits,” delves into the darkness, with Jackson explaining its concept as a reference to morgue identification numbers.

One track stands out— “Truth on Youth” – appearing to be a rap duet between Michael Jackson and LL Cool J. LL Cool J has previously confirmed working with Jackson in the past, stating they recorded music together. “Truth on Youth” holds particular intrigue due to the unexpected element of Jackson rapping.

While the tapes’ exact value is still uncertain, experts believe it could easily reach seven figures. Musgrove plans to auction them off through one of the four major auction houses in the near future.

Dec. 12, 7:03 p.m.  The physical tapes are not currently in Musgrove’s possession. They are in a secure facility under the control of his attorney.

This discovery is a monumental find for music history enthusiasts and Jackson fans alike. Could you be the proud owner of a piece of music legend?
