Walshe Narrowly Misses Individual Medley Final
Irish swimmer Ellen Walshe delivered a strong performance at the world Aquatic Championships, coming within a hair’s breadth of qualifying for the final of the 400m individual medley. Despite achieving her quickest morning swim time to date – 4:38.72 – she ultimately finished ninth a mere four-tenths of a second behind Great Britain’s Freya colbert, who claimed the final qualifying spot with a time of 4:38.31.This result follows Walshe’s successful run in the championships, where she previously secured a place in the finals of both the 200m individual medley and the 200m butterfly events in Singapore.
