Turning 30? 6 Wellness Habits to Swap for a Healthier Decade
Turning 30 can feel like a turning point. It’s not just the calendar change; it’s a shift in our friendships, careers, and even our bodies. I’m right there with you, navigating this new chapter and realizing that some of the wellness habits that served me well in my 20s no longer do. It’s time to evolve.
This isn’t about pressure or perfection; it’s about finding what truly nourishes you as you enter this exciting decade. Here are six wellness habits I’m swapping out in my 30s for healthier, more sustainable practices:
1. Ditching High-Intensity Workouts for Strength Training
After trying Solidcore, I noticed a huge difference. My knee pain vanished, my strength and confidence soared, and I felt more in tune with my body. I still enjoy high-intensity workouts, but now strength training takes priority. This shift has made all the difference in building a stronger, more resilient me.
2. Embracing “Me Time” Over Saying “Yes” to Everything
In my 20s, my motto was “yes” to everything. Social events, travel, work obligations – I embraced it all. But realizing the importance of alone time, I’m trading the “yes” mindset for a more intentional approach. Learning to say “no” allows me to prioritize rest, recharge, and explore hobbies like painting and beading.

3. Trading Restrictive Diets for Intuitive Eating
I’ve tried it all: vegetarianism, intermittent fasting, the Mediterranean Diet. While some worked better than others, none felt sustainable. Now, I’m focusing on intuitive eating – listening to my body’s cues and nourishing myself without guilt. It’s about freeing myself from food rules and enjoying the pleasure of eating.

4. Prioritizing Preventative Health Over Short-Term Goals
I’m shifting my focus from short-term health goals like weight loss to long-term wellbeing. Investing in my health with things like therapy, supplements, regular doctor visits, and even egg freezing feels like an investment in my future self
