The search for Titansubmarine disappeared while searching for the remains of the Titanichas taken a 180-degree turn in the past few hours after authorities announced that the craft imploded sometime this week, killing the five passengers who were on board.
Now that this news is known, underwater robots will continue to search the bottom of the sea for clues about what happened in the depths of the North Atlantic.
The Titan, owned by the underwater exploration company OceanGate Expeditionshad made these trips to get up close and personal with the remains of the Titanic every year since 2021.
