Country music legend Willie Nelson, 91, recently opened up about his health, revealing he’s feeling “pretty good” despite concerns raised earlier this year.

Nelson’s recent statement comes after he canceled several shows on his Outlaw Music Festival Tour due to illness. While he’s faced health challenges in recent years, Nelson told the Associated Press, “Well, I’m 91 plus, so, you know, I’m not worried about it. I don’t feel bad. I don’t hurt anywhere. I don’t have any reason to worry about dying. But I don’t know anybody who’s lived forever. I take pretty good care of myself.”

Despite feeling physically healthy, Nelson admits, “Mentally? That’s another story.”

Nelson’s latest album, “Last Leaf on the Tree,” released on Friday, explores themes of mortality, prompting reflection on his long life. Collaborating with his youngest son, Micah, Nelson described the album as a deeply personal journey.

Micah, who produced the album, shared, “‘It’s an approach that I really love and have used a lot over the years—just throwing the clay down and stepping back, then maybe adding a little more, and then maybe shaving down here, and kind of building the tracks that way.'”

Nelson’s commitment to music continues despite his age. His recent performance at a Houston rally for Kamala Harris showcased his enduring energy and passion. “Last Leaf on the Tree” marks Nelson’s 76th solo album and 153rd overall, solidifying his legacy as a musical icon.

Willie Nelson’s story is a testament to the enduring power of music and the ability to find meaning and purpose throughout life. Stream “Last Leaf on the Tree” today and discover the wisdom and artistry of a legend.
