A woman in her 70s died in a hospital in Australia after a strong fall that occurred last Thursday during a concert by the British singer Robbie Williams in Sydney.
A spokesperson for Hospital St Vincent confirmed to the news portal News.com.au the death of the woman on Monday after spending four days in an induced coma in the intensive care unit.
According to the source, the elderly woman suffered serious head injuries after slipping and falling six rows of seats in the Allianz stadium in Sydneywhen people left the venue minutes after the show concluded, on the first night of the British pop star’s XXV tour of Australia.
“Instead of using the stairs, the woman tried to climb over the rows of seats. She lost her balance and fell,” a venue spokesperson told the Sydney Morning Herald.
A team of paramedics treated the woman at the stadium before taking her to hospital, where she eventually died.
