Poland’s Tusk warns of ‘real war’ with Russia if Ukraine falls
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has warned that Europe is facing a “real war” with Russia if Ukraine falls to the Kremlin’s forces. Speaking on Wednesday, Tusk urged Western leaders to increase military spending and prepare for a potential conflict with Moscow.
“If Ukraine falls, all of us will be next,” Tusk said, adding that Europe has “three to five years” to prepare for a potential Russian attack. He stressed the need for a meaningful increase in defense spending, calling for countries to spend at least three percent of their GDP on military matters.
Tusk’s stark warning comes as Ukraine continues to struggle against Russia’s ongoing invasion, with Kyiv pleading for more military aid from its Western allies. The Polish leader’s comments reflect growing concerns in Eastern Europe about Russia’s aggressive intentions and the potential for a wider conflict.
