Indonesia Holds Pertalite Fuel Price Steady Until End of Q1 2026

Jakarta – The Indonesian government has affirmed its commitment to maintaining the price of Pertalite (RON 90) at IDR 10,000 per liter through the end of the first quarter of 2026, despite fluctuations in global oil prices. This decision aims to provide stability for consumers and businesses alike.

Government Assurance on Fuel Subsidies

Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung stated on Thursday, March 12, 2026, that the government will continue to monitor world oil price developments and assess the allocation of energy subsidies and compensation within the state budget (APBN). CNBC Indonesia reported on this assurance.

“The first is the availability of RON 90 or Pertalite, which is subsidized fuel. The Minister has also said that for Pertalite there will be no price increase until the end of the first quarter of 2026,” Tanjung explained.

The government will collaborate with relevant ministries and institutions to determine future steps regarding Pertalite pricing, taking into account both global market conditions and budgetary constraints.

As of March 12, 2026, the following fuel prices are in effect in DKI Jakarta, according to recent reports:
