FIS Digital Channels Deliver Record-Breaking 2025/26 Season The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) reported unprecedented digital engagement during the 2025/26 season, marking another breakthrough year for its online platforms and content strategy. From October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, FIS-owned social media channels achieved a 3.5 billion reach, representing a 114% increase year-over-year. Engagements across these platforms reached 86 million, up 36% compared to the previous season. The growth was driven by strategic initiatives including the “I Love Snow” campaign, which contributed significantly to fan interaction and audience expansion. FIS gained 1 million new followers during the season, bringing its total social media audience to 3.6 million followers, excluding Chinese channels. Alpine skiing led digital performance across FIS disciplines, generating 1.56 billion reach and 40.9 million engagements—nearly half of the federation’s total social media output. Ski jumping followed with 617 million reach and 10.6 million interactions, while cross-country skiing ranked third by reach at 365.7 million. Freestyle and park & pipe disciplines stood out for strong fan interaction, delivering 7.6 million and 7.8 million engagements respectively. Short-form vertical video emerged as a dominant content format, with top-performing posts in freestyle and alpine skiing each reaching over 31 million users. The highest-performing alpine Instagram video of the season recorded 1.83 million engagements. FIS emphasized that these results reflect the growing impact of its digital ecosystem in connecting fans, athletes, national ski associations, event organizers, communities, and partners. The federation credited internal teams, athletes, national associations, and collaborators for driving progress through expertise, teamwork, and commitment to innovation in sports media.
