Cambodia Luring Community ‘Hades Cafe’ Under Full Inquiry
Capture of Hades cafe recruitment/employment bulletin board
The investigation into ‘Hades Cafe’, known as a platform that has been luring domestic youth into Cambodian criminal groups, is in full swing.
The Cyber Investigation Department of the Gyeonggi Southern police Agency announced on November 15, 2025, that it received the Hades Cafe incident from the National Police Agency on October 15th and, as a result of an investigation (internal investigation) before admission, recently converted to a formal investigation.
A police official said, “No suspects have yet been identified in relation to this case, but since the case is serious and the criminal charges are clear, we have decided to transition to a formal investigation.”
Hades Cafe, an online community, is suspected of recruiting young people with false promises of high-paying jobs in Cambodia, only for them to be forced into illegal activities like online fraud. The police are focusing on identifying the operators of the cafe and those involved in the recruitment process.
