Honor to Showcase AI-Powered Robot and Foldable Phone at MWC 2026

Honor is set to make a significant splash at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, unveiling its first humanoid robot and providing a closer look at its innovative “Robot Phone.” The company is doubling down on its commitment to artificial intelligence, positioning itself as a leader in the consumer robotics space.

Entering the Humanoid Robotics Space

Honor will officially enter the humanoid robotics space at MWC 2026, marking a pivotal shift for the smartphone manufacturer. The company has teased a humanoid robot, signaling its ambitions beyond mobile devices. Android Central reports that this move positions Honor as the first global smartphone brand to venture into this area.

The AI-Powered “Robot Phone”

Alongside the humanoid robot, Honor will showcase its “Robot Phone,” initially previewed at CES 2026. This device features a unique design with a rear camera mounted on a 360-degree gimbal. The phone aims to combine smartphone functionality with an AI companion, capable of interactive movements and features. The camera’s movements are designed to mimic a robot companion, reminiscent of characters like Pixar’s Luxo Jr. Lamp or Wall-E. Chosun Biz highlights that the phone’s AI capabilities allow it to “see” and “hear” users, adjusting its camera accordingly.

Promotional videos suggest the Robot Phone could perform tasks such as playing peek-a-boo with a baby or even offering outfit critiques. But, the extent to which this functionality will be available in a commercial product remains to be seen.

Beyond Robotics: New Mobile Devices

Honor’s MWC 2026 lineup extends beyond robotics. The company will also launch the Magic V6 foldable phone, the MagicPad 4 tablet, and the MagicBook Pro 14 laptop. The Magic V6, a fifth-generation book-style foldable, is expected to compete with devices like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. Rumors indicate the Magic V6 will be thinner than its predecessor, the Magic V5, and potentially feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, along with upgrades to its hinge and screen technology. PCMag and Android Headlines both confirm these upcoming releases.

Focus on AI

Honor has officially unveiled its MWC 2026 theme as “Believers in AI Future,” underscoring its commitment to artificial intelligence across its product lines.
