BEIJING, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping has invited Italian President Sergio Mattarella to make a state visit to China from November 7 to 12. The visit, officially announced by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying on Tuesday, signifies the robust and evolving relationship between the two nations.

During his visit, President Mattarella will have significant meetings with Chinese leaders. President Xi Jinping will hold talks with him to outline the future direction of China-Italy relations. Prime Minister Li Qiang and Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, will also meet with President Mattarella.
