Protests Erupt Near Disneyland Amidst VP Vance Visit Rumors
A large crowd of protesters gathered outside disneylands Grand Californian Hotel & Spa on Friday afternoon following reports that vice President JD Vance may be vacationing in the area.
Orange County officials received intelligence regarding the potential visit on Thursday. supervisor Vicente Sarmiento stated in an interview that the VP’s visit “comes at a time when trust in government feels fragile.”
Sarmiento, who represents the county’s 2nd District, further expressed his sentiments in a social media post, stating, “I welcome any policymaker to visit, listen and witness the hard-working immigrant communities that make our county strong. I respect the office, but I can’t respect policies that hurt our people.”
