Trump Hints at Alien Disclosure, Obama Confirms Extraterrestrial Possibility
Recent statements from former President Barack Obama and comments attributed to current President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, have ignited renewed public interest in the possibility of extraterrestrial life and potential government disclosure. While the White House has offered limited confirmation, the speculation surrounding a potential announcement continues to grow.
Obama’s Admission
The discussion was sparked by former President Obama’s remarks during a February 14, 2026, interview on the “No Lie With Brian Tyler Cohen” podcast. When asked directly if aliens are real, Obama responded, “They’re real, but I haven’t seen them, and they’re not being kept in (Area 51).” USA Today
He further clarified his position on Instagram, stating, “Statistically, the universe is so vast that the chances are good there is life out there. But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we’ve been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!” USA Today
Lara Trump’s Claims
Following Obama’s statements, Lara Trump suggested that President Trump has a prepared speech regarding extraterrestrial life. Speaking on the New York Post’s “Pod Force One” podcast, she stated that her father-in-law has indicated a speech exists that he intends to deliver “at the right time.” The Independent Newsmax
“I have just heard kind of around that he’s actually said…that there is some speech that he has…that he is going to break out and talk about, and it has to do with maybe some sort of extraterrestrial life, so to speak,” Lara Trump said. The Independent
White House Response
However, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated she was unaware of any such prepared speech. “I have to check with our voice recorders. That would be of great interest to me personally, and certainly to all of you in this room and apparently Obama as well,” Leavitt said when questioned about Lara Trump’s remarks. Newsmax

The renewed discussion comes amid increasing public and governmental attention to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), commonly known as UFOs. The timing of these statements coincides with ongoing investigations into reported UAP sightings. USA Today
